Nebraska Miss Amazing

An organization I’m super involved in, Nebraska Miss Amazing, is looking for volunteers for our upcoming Amplify event in October! Ever since I got involved three years ago, it’s an organization I now plan my entire photography schedule around. 😁

Our Amplify event this year is October 18-20th, 2024 at Westside High School in Omaha, Nebraska. It’s on the southeast corner of 90th and Pacific Streets, and is easy to get to if you’re from out of town.

About Miss Amazing

At Miss Amazing, we help women with disabilities become advocates for themselves. We do this by building up their confidence and self-esteem through the positive aspects of pageantry.

Founded in 2007 here in Nebraska, we aim to be in all 50 states by 2030 to reach and empower even more women with disabilities. If you want to learn more, visit our website at https://www.missamazing.org.

Volunteer Opportunities

We have plenty of volunteer opportunities and we even have volunteer opportunities for men. From being a Buddy to a stylist to a Right Hand Man (if you’re a guy), there are many different ways to help out! 😁

For volunteering, you don’t have to commit to the whole weekend but you do have to commit to either Saturday or Sunday. Buddies are asked commit to a full day (10:00am-6:00p) to ensure that all our participants have a fun and rewarding experience. Right Hand Men just have to be there from 2:30pm-6:00p and stylists have to be there between 11:00am-2:00pm on their day.
